Little Woodham re-opened for the season this past April, and just about every two weeks, the site is open to the public at the weekend.

I attended May Day this year, the one time of the year where the women of the village can wear their hair uncovered; there is also Morris Dancing and Maypole shenanigans. Myself did not indulge, but rather stayed in the houses to make sure stray members of the public didn't fall into the unattended fires.

I usually attend at least one day of every open weekend, usually spinning flax on the distaff. I also work on the spinning wheels and the loom for demonstrations of spinning and weaving.

In early June, the weaving house has been covered with scaffolding ahead of the roof being re-thatched -- the textiles villagers are temporarily in one of the tavern houses for the duration, but the roof should be sorted by the end of the month.

If you're in south Hampshire, come out to Gosport and check out the village. Opening times can be found here.
