The first week of July is when the International Medieval Congress is held annually at the University of Leeds. I've been attending and giving papers here for about a decade now, usually on Latin poetry.
This year is quite different, as I'm excited to be able to talk about my experiences at the Campus Galli, a living-history construction site in the south of Germany.
I will also be holding a workshop on nalbinding!
More to come, as this has been a busy year so far for me -- I have been on study leave to finish a book, and I've also had time to fit in talks, workshops, and experiences with ancient and medieval textile practices.
